The 10 Strangest Things I Have Ever Heard

1. The Suicide Roller Coaster
Also called the Euthanasia Coaster, it was designed in 2010 with the intention of killing its passangers. PhD candidate, Julijonas Urbonas, designed the coaster after working at an amusement park. Urbonas stated that his goal for the coaster was to take lives 'with elegance and euphoria.' The seven loops put the body under so much stress that the brain is starved of oxygen and makes it impossible for the heart to pump blood. The Euthanasia Coaster was also made to be a fun death.

2. Gympie Gympie
The Gympie Gympie tree's leaves produce a unbearable toxin. The pain has been compared to being sprayed with hot acid and being electrocuted at the same time. A man was reported to have shot himself after accidentally using the leaves as toilet paper.

3. The Disappearing Disease
In 1485, a disease broke out that caused people to sweat to death in a matter of hours. This mysterious disease was the cause of death for more then ten thousand people, and then it disappeared.

4. The Stress of High School
High school students today have the same anxiety levels as insane asylum patients in the 1950's.

5. Blackout Haunted House
There is a haunted house, called Blackout Elements, for only people over 18 years old. The actors in the house are allowed, and will touch you as well as instruct you to do certain tasks that you must perform. You are not allowed to touch the walls and you must wear a protective face mask and carry a flashlight at all times. You must go in the house alone, but if at any point you get too scared you can yell the word safety and get escorted out.

6. Worst Surgery Ever
In 1847, a doctor performed a surgery in only 25 seconds. But, he worked so quickly that he also amputated his assistants fingers in the process. The patient as well as the assistant died of Sepsis, and a spectator died of shock during the procedure, making this the only reported surgery with a 300% mortality rate.

7. In 1941, Maximilian Kolbe, a Polish priest that was imprisioned in Auschwitz concentration camp, volunteered to trade places with a stranger sentenced to death. The man he replaced made it out of the camp and lived until 1995.

8. The Man with Two Faces
Edward Mordrake, who lived in the 1800's, had an extra face on the back of his head. The face could not eat or speak, but it could laugh and cry. Mordrake begged doctors to amputate to remove the face, saying it whispered horrible things to him at night. They refused, and Mondrake killed himself at the age of 24.

9. America's First Serial Killer
H. H. Holmes built an entire hotel to murder his victims. The hotel included rooms with no windows and a large safe right next to Holmes' desk in which he would keep people until they died.

10. The Cannibilism Disease
Cannibilism, especially consumption of the brain, can cause a disease called Kuru. The disease causes uncontrollable laughter as well as depression and emotional instability.

Okay so i have recently discovered the greatest band in the world. They are The 1975 from the UK. Just had to share.

5 Myths About Mental Institutions

1. They us strait jackets.
There is actually a law that states that mental institutions an hospitals must use the least restrictive restraints that they can. So must institutions will use drugs or  the four point cuff system.

2. It is like jail.
In most movies and shows, mental institutions are potrayed as dark cells with patients in only hospital gowns. You are actually allowed to bring your own items into most mental institutions. Family and friends can also bring you items like food or books.

3. Patients do not know why they are there.
Before you are put in an institution, you have to go through a psych evaluation. If you fail, they can only hold you for three days for psych reasons. After that you can only leave when the doctors are sure you are okay and when they tell you that you can leave. Most patients, instead of going to court, sign themselves into treatment.

4. There are outragous punishments
Most of the time, employees will check on patients about every half hour, unless they are trouble makers. The staff does not bother the patients, they are just there to make sure everyone is safe.

5. Mental illnesses are easily recognizable
In shows and movies, a doctor can usually tell what a patients has in a matter of minutes. But, real mental illnesses are difficult to diagnose and understand.

Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys

Located in Florida's Panhandle, Arthur G. Dozier's School for Boys was a reform school for boys who had committed crimes like petty theft and truancy. Only recently, former students, now in their sixties, have been coming forward with stories of torture and murder.

In early 2008, dozens of former Dozier students began organizing a group online and retelling their stories to one another, as well as to reporters. The men called themselves 'White House Boys' after the building where most of the brutal beatings took place. The men's stories were hard to believe at first, given they had only just now come forward.

One boy described being beaten with a leather strap forty times on his first day at the school. 'Blood was everywhere,' said Robert Straley, who was beaten for reportedly planning to run away. Another student, Jerry Cooper, said 'It goes beyond beatings; children were murdered  there.' Roger Kiser recalls the time he spent at Dozier, 'I know for a fact that some boys died. Two boys put another boy in the washer an killed him. He was buried in the graveyard.'

The public was forced to listen to, as well as believe the men's tales of horror after, in 2013, dozens of bodies were exhumed from the the area around the school. An official number of bodies found has yet to be released, but by using ground-penetrating radar, anthropologists has found more then fifty shafts, where bodies would be held.

Dozier has been shut down since 2011 due to a budgetary crisis. One boy has said, regarding the school being shut down, 'It felt like justice at last.' Even after finding out what really happened to their children, there is little closure for the families of the deceased. There will be no trial or convictions, since most involves are dead now, but for the boys who survived, finally being believed is enough.

3 Most Known Cult Suicides

While on the hunt for an interesting new topic for a creepy posts, I came across the Heaven's Gate cult, which had committed group suicide in 1997. Instead of only writing an article about only this perticular cult, I decided to do a top 3 most well known cult suicides.

1. People's Temple a.k.a Jonestown
The members of the People's Temple had moved to a remote camp in Jonestown, Guyana. While trying to speak to the group, Congressman Leo Ryan, reporter Don Harris, and three others, were murdered by the group. On November 18, 1978, the finally meeting of the People's Temple was recorded. On the tape the group's leader, Jim Jones, spoke of committing 'revolutionary suicide' and said thy had to 'die with some dignity'.Later that day, the members of Jonestown died from cyanide poisoning, except for Jones and his personal nurse, who had shot themselves in the head. Additionally four other members killed themselves at the groups headquarters in Georgetown.

2. Heaven's Gate
The members of Heaven's Gate believed that soon the Earth would be recycled and the only way to survive would be to leave it. The group was told by leader, Marshall Applewhite, that they would exit their 'vessels' and be transported to a spaceship following the comet Hale-Bopp. The group rented a mansion in Rancho Santa Fe, California an on March 26, 1997 Hale-Bopp was at its brightest. 39 memebers of Heaven's Gate were fround dead, having drank poison and put plastic bags over their heads. Each body was wearing identical clothing and all had purple shrouds placed over their bodies.

3. Solar Temple
Between 1994 and 1997, The Order of the Solar Temple's members participated in a series of group suicides. The final number of suicide deaths associated with this group is 74 spaced out over four years. Suicide letters left by the members said they wanted to leave the oppression of this world and that they would 'be moving on the Sirius'. The deseased members had left more then million dollars to the group's leader, Joseph Di Mambro. Another group suicide attemped was called off in the late 1990's. All of the suicides and suicide attempts occurred around the dates of equinoxes and solstices.

90's Fashion

The 90's style of fashion is by far my favorite. Although, I have talked to people who were youmg in the 90's and they claim that it does not even exist.
To me, 90's fashion consists of dark grunge as well as soft grunge. It is Dr. Martens, tights and smiley tees.
This style of clothing is still huge today, here are some of the 90's styles that are still in today.

First, and most important, Dr. Martens:

These boots were first intended for workers, and this explains why they are so heavy duty. But, these boots are now the staple of grunge fashion and go great with some torn up tights or over the knee socks.

And next, Jansport backpacks:
These backpacks were, and still are, intended for carry books or for long road trips. But, with lots of colors and patterns available, these backpacks are an easy way to look fashionable in school or on the road.

Another good style is high-waisted shorts:

In my opinion, high waisted short or pants, never went out of style. They are perfect for multiple reasons: 1: They make you look thinner 2: You can wear crop shirts with them and not show off your stomach 3: They are always in stlye.

Next, body piercings:
Body piercings are another thing that has never been out of stlye since the 90's. Grunge fashion would not be complete without piercings. Ranging from a belly button piercing to a nose ring, piercings are a staple for a rebellious teen who loves grunge, or like me, a not so rebellious teen who loves grunge.

Last, but not least, flannels:

Another workman like style that has gone grunge, are flannel shirts. They are perfect over your high waisted shorts in the summer or under a bunch of layers in the winter.

All I Want For Christmas is..

I would love to be able to say that there is nothing really that I want for Christmas but a fashionista never passes up an opportunity for free clothing.
My #1 on my Christmas list this year is this amazing pair of Jeffrey Campbell's.They are the Coltranes in Distressed Black:
The second item I have fallen in love with, even though it is the middle of winter. This is the Cotton Candy Swimsuit by Marialia:
And everyone that knows me is already aware that I LOVE American Apparel. Here are some goodies I want from their website. First is a new pair of Disco Pants in Gold:
Then I stumbled upon this amazing top. This is the Rayon Mid-Length Tie-Up Blouse in Black Rosette:
Next is an American Apparel basic I have been wanting for about a year, it is the Unisex Flex Fleece Zip Hoodie in Black:
There were only two little accessories that I wanted this year: a plaid scarf (no particular brand) and the Aurora Borealis choker from Dolls Kill:
Those are the big things on my list for Christmas along with a million other smaller items. Happy Holidays!!!

'Wild animals never kill for sport. Man is the only one to whom the torture and death of his fellow creatures is amusing in itself.'
-James Anthony Froude

Televised Suicide

A host of a talk show in Florida, Christine Chubbock, signed off her show on July 15, 1974, by remarking that her viewers were about to see a TV first. She then presented a gun and killed herself on camera.

What Goes Around Comes Around

Flemming was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Flemming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.

The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surrounings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Flemming had saved. The nobleman offered to repay Farmer Flemming for saving his son's life, but the farmer would not accept payment. At that moment, Farmer Flemming's own son came to the door of the family hovel. The nobleman and the farmer struck up a deal that he would provide Farmer Flemming's son with the same level of education that his son would enjoy. His son attended the very best schools, and in time, graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London. He went on to become known throughout the worked as the noted Sir Alexander Flemming, the discoverer of penicillin.

Years afterward, the same nobelman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken with pneumonia. What saved his life this time? Penicillin. The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill. His son's name? Sir Winston Churchill.

The Expressionless

566px-1330271478064

In June 1972, a woman appeared in Cedar Senai hospital in nothing but a white, blood-covered gown.

Now this, in itself, should not be too surprising as people often have accidents nearby and come to the nearest hospital for medical attention, but there were two things that caused people who saw her to vomit and flee in terror.

The first being that she wasn't exactly human. She resembled something close to a mannequin, but had the dexterity and fluidity of a normal human being. Her face was as flawless as a mannequins, devoid of eyebrows and smeared in make-up.

There was a kitten clamped in her jaws so unnaturally tight that no teeth could be seen, and the blood was still squirting out over her gown and onto the floor. She then pulled it out of her mouth, tossed it aside and collapsed.

From the moment she stepped through the entrance to when she was taken to a hospital room and cleaned up before being prepped for sedation, she was completely calm, expressionless and motionless. The doctors thought it best to restrain her until the authorities could arrive and she did not protest. They were unable to get any kind of response from her and most staff members felt too uncomfortable to look directly at her for more than a few seconds.

But the second the staff tried to sedate her, she fought back with extreme force. Two members of staff had to hold her down as her body rose up on the bed with that same, blank expression.

She turned her emotionless eyes towards the male doctor and did something unusual. She smiled.

As she did, the female doctor screamed and let go out of shock. In the woman's mouth were not human teeth, but long, sharp spikes. Too long for her mouth to close fully without causing any damage…

The male doctor stared back at her for a moment before asking "What in the hell are you?"

She cracked her neck down to her shoulder to observe him, still smiling.

There was a long pause, the security had been alerted and could be heard coming down the hallway.

As he heard them approach, she darted forward, sinking her teeth into the front of his throat, ripping out his jugular and letting him fall to the floor, gasping for air as he choked on his own blood.

She stood up and leaned over him, her face coming dangerously close to his as the life faded from his eyes.

She leaned closer and whispered in his ear.

"I... am... God..."

The doctor's eyes filled with fear as he watched her calmly walk away to greet the security men. His last ever sight would be watching her feast on them one by one.

The female doctor who survived the incident named her "The Expressionless".

There was never a sighting of her again.

Gateway of the Mind: Speaking to God

In 1983, a team of deeply pious scientists conducted a radical experiment in an undisclosed facility. The scientists had theorized that a human without access to any senses or ways to perceive stimuli would be able to perceive the presence of God.

They believed that the five senses clouded our awareness of eternity, and without them, a human could actually establish contact with God by thought. An elderly man who claimed to have “nothing left to live for” was the only test subject to volunteer. To purge him of all his senses, the scientists performed a complex operation in which every sensory nerve connection to the brain was surgically severed.* Although the test subject retained full muscular function, he could not see, hear, taste, smell, or feel. With no possible way to communicate with or even sense the outside world, he was alone with his thoughts.

Scientists monitored him as he spoke aloud about his state of mind in jumbled, slurred sentences that he couldn’t even hear. After four days, the man claimed to be hearing hushed, unintelligible voices in his head. Assuming it was an onset of psychosis, the scientists paid little attention to the man’s concerns.

Two days later, the man cried that he could hear his dead wife speaking with him, and even more, he could communicate back. The scientists were intrigued, but were not convinced until the subject started naming dead relatives of the scientists. He repeated personal information to the scientists that only their dead spouses and parents would have known. At this point, a sizable portion of scientists left the study.

After a week of conversing with the deceased through his thoughts, the subject became distressed, saying the voices were overwhelming. In every waking moment, his consciousness was bombarded by hundreds of voices that refused to leave him alone. He frequently threw himself against the wall, trying to elicit a pain response. He begged the scientists for sedatives, so he could escape the voices by sleeping. This tactic worked for three days, until he started having severe night terrors. The subject repeatedly said that he could see and hear the deceased in his dreams.

Only a day later, the subject began to scream and claw at his non-functional eyes, hoping to sense something in the physical world. The hysterical subject now said the voices of the dead were deafening and hostile, speaking of hell and the end of the world. At one point, he yelled “No heaven, no forgiveness” for five hours straight. He continually begged to be killed, but the scientists were convinced that he was close to establishing contact with God.

After another day, the subject could no longer form coherent sentences. Seemingly mad, he started to bite off chunks of flesh from his arm. The scientists rushed into the test chamber and restrained him to a table so he could not kill himself. After a few hours of being tied down, the subject halted his struggling and screaming. He stared blankly at the ceiling as teardrops silently streaked across his face. For two weeks, the subject had to be manually rehydrated due to the constant crying. Eventually, he turned his head and, despite his blindness, made focused eye contact with a scientist for the first time in the study.

He whispered “I have spoken with God, and He has abandoned us” and his vital signs stopped.

There was no apparent cause of death.

Cleveland State Visit

Yesterday my father and his girlfriend took me to Cleveland to go on a visit.

It began at ten thirty with a presentation by this hot guy about the cost of attending and other great things about Cleveland.

After the presentation, we were split into three groups with current CSU students.
I was able to ask many questions and get to know my tour guide.

The students took us to all the different colleges in CSU as well as the dorms and student center.

After the tour we all went to eat at B&B(burgers and beer). While eating I checked my application status for Cleveland State online. I saw that I had been accepted and so i 'accepted my acceptence' (that sounds so stupid but idk how else to put it).

So I will be attending Cleveland State in the fall ❤️❤️
Here is me in Cleveland. I am wearing a Forever 21 black faux leather jacket over a floral Forever 21 dress. The dress is way too short so I am wearing a PacSun leather skirt underneath. Then I am wearing plain black tights with my black Dr Martins. My bag is also Forever 21 and is studded.

Fall/Winter Shoes

For the Fall and Winter, I believe the best shoes are boots, but also some oxfords and flats. Most of mine are also black or brown in color. These colors go well with what I consider to be Winter clothes. Here are some examples of some Fall and Winter styles:
These are probably my most worn in the Fall and Winter season. They are the Dr Martins Pascal boot in black.
http://www.dmusastore.com/p-4521-pascal.aspx

These are a nice pair of loafers i got from Asos a couple of months ago. I have just started wearing them during the fall.
Here is a pair close to these, I could not find the exact ones:
http://m.asos.com/mt/www.asos.com/River-Island/River-Island-Tan-Pennie-Tassle-ID-Tag-Loafers/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=3288940&cid=4172&Rf947=4106&Rf-200=25,10,26&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=50&sort=-1&clr=Tan

I love these shoes even though I do not get to wear them much. They are pretty comfortable for people who are used to wearing heels (I am not haha). They are just plain black wedges from PacSun.
I am not sure if they sell them anymore, but here is a picture of them in tan:

These are a new addition to my favorite. They are a pair of cut out oxfords from Forever 21. They are great to pair with jeans and a cute coat.

This is a basic pair of shoes I am sure everyone already knows about. They are perfect for every season but especially fall. They are just plain black hi top converse.

These are some Van look alikes I found last week for five dollars at Target. They are great with tights and a dress or just jeans. I could not find these exact ones on Target's website but here they are on Vans.
